Why Keynesianism is so Popular

WHY KEYNES CONQUERED

John Maynard Keynes

The reason why Keynesianism is so popular is because it appeals to envy (destroy the rich) and jealousy (steal from the rich). It appeals to the deep-seated desire of a man who is not highly productive to vote into office someone who will send out officials with badges and guns to steal the wealth of the most productive members of society. Keynes offered the voters what they wanted, and he offered the politicians what they wanted.

This is why it is virtually impossible today for the conservative movement to triumph over the Keynesians. Keynesian envy is in the hearts and minds of virtually all the voters, and that includes the Tea Party people. Keynesianism is almost universal, and Keynesian Tea Party members who think they are free marketers are in fact defenders of people with guns and badges who are out to steal from the productive members of society.

I have no idea how this is going to be reversed, other than the preaching of pastors against envy and jealousy, which pastors do not have the courage to do, because they have pro-Keynesian members of the congregation. We rarely hear sermons on the great evil of envy: the desire to pull down a superior. I cannot remember even one. We do hear sermons against covetousness, but never in the context of the welfare state.

Keynesianism has burdened the conservative movement ever since the mid-1940s. It is why there are so few Austrian economists. The built-in Keynesianism of modern social philosophy is almost universal: “Blame the rich!” That is why a reform of the present system, apart from complete bankruptcy of the federal government, is unlikely.

John Maynard Keynes gave the public what it wanted. Voters want a justification for stealing the wealth of rich people who got rich through their own productivity.

The envy and jealousy of the masses against the productive members of society who have given society most of its wealth is so widespread that we cannot reverse the modern welfare state. The voters want their goodies, and they are going to elect politicians who promise to give them these goodies at somebody else’s expense. The voters will be disappointed. They are going to get what they deserve good and hard.

This is a matter of ethics. There are rival laws at stake. One is this: “Thou shalt not steal.” The other is this: “Thou shalt not steal, except by majority vote.” Keynes is the premier economist of the second position.

Is it a Combined Right and Left Conspiracy of Deceit or Just Plain Incompetence?

by Ray Kraft

Politicians do not want to solve problems. If they solve a problem, they can no longer run against it, they can no longer blame it on anybody else, they can no longer promise to fix it. Problems have fantastic political value. Solved problems have no political value.

That is why Politicians are forever unsolving problems.

They have a vested self interest in unsolved problems. That’s what gets them elected. Unsolved problems are infinitely useful. Solved problems are politically useless.

One glaring example: Ted Kennedy.

Ted Kennedy kept getting re-elected for decades. Quick, what problem did he ever solve, as a Senator?

Yeah, I couldn’t think of any either.

Now, insert any other member of Congress for Ted Kennedy.

All the political problems we have today, we have because over the last fifty years all the members of Congress and every President have failed to fix them, a vast left and right wing conspiracy of incompetence.

Hollywood & Politics: Ann Coulter on Why America Hates Hollywood

Ann Coulter

Americans love movies and would like to love Hollywood, but I suspect they are getting a little sick of Hollywood hating them.

By “them,” I mean:

► Southerners (as portrayed in A Time to Kill, Deliverance, Easy Rider, Talladega Nights, Pulp Fiction, Raising Arizona and Law & Order)

► Residents of small towns, except the Hamptons and Malibu (Footloose, The Last Seduction, Pleasantville and Law & Order)

► Christians (The Virgin Suicides, Easy A, Seven, Straw Dogs, Carrie and Law & Order)

► Connecticut WASPs or their equivalent (Ordinary People, Far From Heaven, Caddyshack, Trading Places, The Ice Storm, every single movie on “Lifetime: TV for Women” and Law & Order)

► Priests (Primal Fear, Stigmata, Priest, Godfather III and Law & Order)

► Conservative politicians (The Contender, Good Night, and Good Luck, The West Wing, any movie by Oliver Stone and Law & Order)

► The rich — but never rich trial lawyers, rich environmentalists, rich educators or rich-off-the-taxpayer politicians (Titanic, Sleeping With the Enemy, Wall Street and Law & Order)

► Businessmen (Erin Brockovich, A Civil Action, The Insider, Silkwood, Michael Clayton, every John Grisham adaptation, even The Muppets, where they reunite to save their old theater from a greedy oil tycoon! And Law & Order).

Southerners are dumb hicks, presumptively Klanners. Residents of small towns are narrow-minded xenophobes, presumptively Klanners. Christians are hypocrites and anti-everything (even dancing!), presumptively Klanners. Businessmen are cheating, soulless vermin, presumptively Klanners (unless they are in a Hollywood-approved business like making solar panels). And Connecticut WASPs are dull, sexually neurotic snobs who beat their wives and molest their daughters. Presumptively Klanners.

Personalize Social Security And Help Make The Poor Rich.

Why do all these members of Congress including the Progressive Caucus, every private and public sector union, AARP, Obama, Clinton, Gore, Frank, Pelosi, Reid, etc., and all pension plans invest in the U.S. stock market? Because it represents the creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit of American business, the most dependable wealth builders in the history of mankind. It may have its ups and downs but it always comes back.

Ask yourself why all these people are so bent on YOU not having a piece of the American Pie? Answer. Because they are afraid you will become independently wealthy and no longer be subject to government dependency.

Join the 150 million other Americans who invest in America by investing in the U.S. Stock Market. Start your own Social Security fund by investing in America – Email me and find out how.

Mitt’s “Poverty Plan” Hope Through Change?

Dick McDonald May 1, 2012

Dick McDonald
President
The Prosperity Report

Mitt Romney in his ”Believe in America” nomination victory letter yesterday telegraphed an utter disregard for the role government plays in alleviating poverty.

In the America I see, character and choices matter. And education, hard work, and living within our means are valued and rewarded. And poverty will be defeated, not with a government check, but with respect and achievement that is taught by parents, learned in school, and practiced in the workplace.

To all of the thousands of good and decent Americans I’ve met who want nothing more than a better chance, a fighting chance, to all of you, I have a simple message: Hold on a little longer.  A better America begins today.

I don’t know about you but this “no government check” is not going to play well with the more than 40% of the population that already receive one or the 100% of the population that eventually hopes to get one.

I know this was a letter to his base but come on now nothing in Romney’s political history justifies his belief in the pure “individualism” he professes here.  Quite the contrary his Romneycare is his ode to “collectivism” and big government checks. His justification for Romneycare on a states right basis is so transparent I’m sure it will convince many Democrats he is one of them.

America needs two things.  Romney gives us one and Obama gives us none.  America needs (1) an efficiency expert to get rid of government waste and digitize the bureaucracy and (2) a plan to fix the economy. As a hedge fund manager Mitt fulfills the requires of (1) but his plan to fix the economy has yet to be revealed except in broad unspecified rhetorical flurries like the Ryan plan to reduce the budget by $4 trillion in ten years with absolutely no specificity as to what he benefits he plans to cut.

It appears that neither party is going to seriously address the entitlement and welfare problems in the fall election.  It is where the problems lie but the parties have telegraphed a “not on my watch” approach to addressing them.  It is what Greece did. The rest of Europe is also careening wildly toward that cliff. Unfortunately America is blindly going in the same direction.

The key to a plan to fix the economy is a solution to poverty.  The Democrats have alleviated it but have failed to lift any appreciable number of Americans out of it.  Top down solutions like Obama’s crony capitalism and green product fiascoes or Mitt’s lesser taxes and regulations will do nothing for the 99% of Americans who really have the cash to invest in America and make the economy sing.

Unfortunately that money is now being used to pay retirees their Social Security pensions and Medicare expenses. Now if that money was invested in the economy to create jobs we would have a start to fix we need. The fix we desperately need is to create “hope” through “change.”

The American people can’t get their politicians to work for them so the people should form a commission to fund only those politicians who pledge to enact legislation that would deliver the American Dream of financial independence. Let’s face it, the $300,000 in payroll taxes the average household pays into Social Security and Medicare invested monthly in the stock market for 40 years will generate a nest egg of $4 million at the average rate of return that the market has demonstrated in 40-year increments since 1871.

That $4 million will spit out $33,000 a month in income. More than enough to fund an affluent retirement and the best medical care on the planet,

We need a national investment/savings plan to save ourselves from the unsustainable nightmare that our present entitlement plans are.

See here for a more comprehensive explanation of how such a plan would work.

Mitt Romney has been chosen by our Party’s Elite based on his financial acumen. It would be depressing if, after the election, he does not propose a similar reform.

A Very Brief History of the Republican Party

Govern On Principles

The Republican Party was born in the early 1850`s by anti-slavery activists and individuals who believed that government should grant western lands to settlers free of charge. In 1860, the Republicans successfully elected their nominee to the Presidency –Abraham Lincoln.

During his Presidency, the United States was wracked by Civil War. During that war, and against the advice of his cabinet, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves. The Republicans of their day worked to pass the Thirteenth Amendment, which outlawed slavery, the Fourteenth, which guaranteed equal protection under the laws, and the Fifteenth, which helped secure voting rights for African-Americans. That historic relationship is why the first African-American Congressmen were Republicans.

In 1896, Republicans were the first major party to argue for securing women the right to vote. When the 19th Amendment was finally added to the Constitution, 26 of 36 state legislatures that had voted to ratify it were under Republican control. The first woman elected to Congress was a Republican, Jeanette Rankin from Montana, in 1917.

How to kill the Marxists influence in American Society in one fell swoop.

By Jeffers M. Dodge

Jeffers M. Dodge President PopModal.com & Editor of AirModal.com

The Left spent 1/2 billion dollars 1n 1995 to defeat Georg W. Bush’s proposal to personalize Social Security. They spent 100s of millions not to argue the merits to their alternate proposals to reform, which they had none, but to smear Bush and anyone that threatened, what I believe, is their fundamental source of survival. Personal accounts would save the government 100 trillion dollars in the next 20 years, reduce the size of government by 1/2, generate wealth for 100s of millions of people world wide, and significantly reduce poverty and crime through better education and private healthcare choices. The Left will have none of that.

The following video demonstrates the chaos that is the curent Social Security and MediCare Systems. This kind of crisis is motive force that sustains the Marist beast that is overwhelming our society.

NOTE: This election is the pivot point for the future of Social Security and MediCare and hence America. We are on a fast track to financial collapse due to the inaction of the Left who control the Senate and the Presidency. This is by design. To do nothing is to throw the civilized world into an economic depression where millions will die and a one world Marxist government will emerge with Barack Obama as the supreme leader. You think I am joking don’t you…. Just remember this one fact. 95% of all public employees that are going to be counting the votes in November 2012 are registered democrats and under the control of Public Employee’s Unions that have the most to lose if Romney wins. I hate to be so pessimistic, but I have run for office here in California and have seen how they cheat as they count the votes.

The Destructive Greed of Socialism vs The Constructive Self-Interests of the Free Market.

by Jeffers M. Dodge

Jeffers M. Dodge President PopModal.com & Editor of AirModal.com

Do you trust me? Are you and I friends? Can you honestly say that because I am a Conservative I want to hurt people by denying them, through taxation, a portion of my property, knowledge or services? Would you deny that making people less uncomfortable in their poverty makes them less likely to succeed?

What if I told you that I have facts that would support my conclusion that President “The One” Obama is purposefully creating an economic environment that forces people to become dependent on Big Government by manipulating fuel prices, healthcare, banking and national security?

Well, that’s what he is doing. Higher taxes, higher health costs for business, more regulations on banking, a dramatic decrease in future oil production on federal land, which has led to speculators driving up the price of fuel oil, all contribute to higher costs for basic necessities. This translates to more middle class families slipping into poverty than any time in history.

‘The One’ has a vision of transforming America to a country that has no economic classes only where the rich is transformed into the enlightened and the poor into their disciples. (a modern euphemism for salves)

In order to accomplish this he first must determine which segments of the government he can mostly control without too much interference from the courts, congress and that out of date document; the Constitution. I speculate that the economy, healthcare, defense, entitlements and the election process are his tools of choice to achieve this great society that will forever be attributed to The One. He also needs to build a set of national collations to help him get elected. I speculate, without to much brain power, that teachers, professors, state employees, artists, actors, entertainment producers and directors, the poor and the Hispanics and blacks will align themselves with the give-me-mine mentality of Barack Obama.

The economy can be controlled by regulations, stealthy cloaked by ObamaCare (Health and Human behavior), Dodd/Frank (Banks and Human Behavior) and Cap and Trade (Energy and Human Behavior). Our military can be used to move against domestic terrorist (Tea Partiers, Veterans and Christians) and get rid of his international tyrannical competition, such as Kaddafi, Mubarak and the new comer Assad, all multi multi billionaires that can influence outcomes that are not desirous by The One. The presidential election campaigns can be influenced by kickbacks from his cronies in the form of campaign contribution by his selective bailouts and stimulus initiatives. And none of this would work without the foundation of the entire world-class utopia movement – the United States entitlement scheme.

In the end The One cannot win on his record, or the merits of his political positions. The only way he can win is by divide and conquer with envy and jealousy, demonization and distortions, lies and innuendos, and a great smile, charm and charisma. If he does it will be the final victory for the world wide socialist movement led by a few wealthy intellectuals who think that they can prove history wrong and bring Utopia to the world.

I define Socialism as the epitome of destructive greed as opposed to the invisible hand of the free market, which is the epitome of constructive self-interest.

Red Racing Horses Analysis:: Congressional Candidates Sherman, Berman & Reed in CA’s West San Fernando Valley

CA-30

CALIFORNIA 30TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT IN THE WEST SAN FERNANDO VALLEY CANDIDATES 2012 Sherman, Berman & Mark Reed
Fun fun fun. There are actually three Democrats here, Congressman Howard Berman, Congressman Brad Sherman, and Vince Gilmore, along with three Republicans, Mark Reed, Susan Shelley, and Navraj Singh. Throw in a Green, Michael Powelson, and there’s potential chaos. The Democrats can expect to divide up about 58% of the vote, while the Republicans should get around 40%. If Mark Reed is a strong candidate he should easily get the 30% he needs to advance. So the two Democratic congressmen need to go hard here.

If Reed gets that 30%, then one of the congressmen will win in June and can coast in November. If Reed is denied that 30%, and instead gets 23-25%, then both Sherman and Berman could advance. The Democrats can’t count on that happening, so they need to go hard in June.

Whoever is leading will want Reed to do well and ensure that easy race. Whoever is losing will want Shelley to take a lot of votes from Reed, so that he’ll have another shot. Do the Democrats try to determine the Republican race or ignore it and go all out?

I’m going to predict both Brad Sherman and Mark Reed get over 30% and go to November.
