“Creating jobs and getting back to 4% unemployment is the most important step to a balanced budget.” – Newt Gingrich

The Gingrich Jobs and Prosperity Plan

America only works when Americans are working. Newt has a pro-growth strategy similar to the proven policies used when he was Speaker to balance the budget, pay down the debt, and create jobs. The plan includes:

1. Stop the 2013 tax increases to promote stability in the economy. Job creation improved after Congress extended tax relief for two years in December. We should make the rates permanent.

2. Make the United States the most desirable location for new business investment through a bold series of tax cuts, including: Eliminating the capital gains tax to make American entrepreneurs more competitive against those in other countries; Dramatically reducing the corporate income tax (among highest in the world) to 12.5%; Allowing for 100% expensing of new equipment to spur innovation and American manufacturing; Ending the death tax permanently.

3. Move toward an optional flat tax of 15% that would allow Americans the freedom to choose to file their taxes on a postcard, saving hundreds of billions in unnecessary costs each year. This optional flat tax system will preserve deductions on charitable giving and home ownership, and create a new personal deduction of $12,000 for every American. This deduction is well above the current poverty level, ensuring that this new system does not unfairly target the poor.

4. Strengthen the dollar by returning to the Reagan-era monetary policies that stopped runaway inflation and reforming the Federal Reserve to promote transparency.

5. Remove obstacles to job creation imposed by destructive and ineffective regulations, programs and bureaucracies. Steps include: Repealing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which did nothing to prevent the financial crisis and is holding companies back from making new investments in the U.S; Repealing the Community Reinvestment Act, the abuse of which helped cause the financial crisis; Repealing the Dodd-Frank Law which is killing small independent banks, crippling loans to small businesses and crippling home sales; Breaking up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, moving their smaller successors off government guarantees and into the free market; Replacing the Environmental Protection Agency with an Environmental Solutions Agency that works collaboratively with local government and industry to achieve better results; and Modernizing the Food and Drug Administration  to get lifesaving medicines and technologies to patients faster.

6. Implement an American energy policy that removes obstacles to responsible energy development and creates jobs in the United States.

7. Balance the budget by growing the economy, controlling spending, implementing money saving reforms, and replacing destructive policies and regulatory agencies with new approaches.

8. Repeal and replace Obamacare with a pro-jobs, pro-responsibility health plan that puts doctors and patients in charge of health decisions instead of bureaucrats.

9. Fundamental reform of entitlement programs with the advice and help of the American people.

One Comment to “Newt Gingrich”

  1. I just don’t understand. Last election, lemmings followed the media right off the cliff. This election; once again they must follow the mass mind. You have the likes of Ann Coulter out there who makes her living off of books vehemently attacking Gingrich which makes no sense to me at all, but those who follow her blindly obviously can’t see the forest for the trees. You people are complaining about the media yet you vote…MEDIA! What do you think a vote for Romney or Santorum is? It says the media makes up your mind. I asked this on facebook and practically shut up a thousand trolls with this question. Name one thing that Newt Gingrich did in his career that you think was bad; and then I will gladly print the other half of that story! You see you can name a million things that Newt has done wrong as long as you glean the bad from the whole story. So the fact you spread about Newt is more media propaganda and a bold face lie. Any half-truth is a lie! I get the Ron Paul zealots…I really do. The man has spend 32 years in Washington making close to 5 million of your tax payer dollars and got you a statue; in texas! But he wants to legalize anarchy; which appeals to a very active set of knuckleheads who have no interest in the truth, who go around spouting that he is the truth. These people have a deep rooted problem in self importance and feel the need to spend their days on a cause. And what better cause than to promote free drugs. But the part that amazes me is how article after article you people INDENTIFY the problem; YES it is the MEDIA, I have been crying about it for 17 years now. But then you follow the media and vote for a liberal claiming to be a conservative; and a “family values” candidate who leaves his sick daughter home with the nanny while he and his wife go about the country spouting family values. This guy should stay home and take care of his daughter. Imagine he loses his daughter on this campaign and then loses the prize of the presidency. What then? All for naught! And my favorite part of this liberal nutjob calling himself the only true conservative (yeah canceling free speech) But my favoritie part has to be his love for R.I.N.O.’s and his record in office! Arlen Spectre? Last election he said Romney was the only true conservative? And yet you buy into Santorum like you bought that Honda Accord the last 12 years in a row. Cause the media told you so! Open your eyes people. Gingrich isn’t pretty! He doesn’t have GREAT hair or the Kennedy look. He’s fat! But guess what; he gets the job done. And more importantly he is willing to tackle the real problems. There is no deficet if we have real leadership. You pick Romney or Santorum and you will get politicians haggeling everyday over which way the political winds are blowing that day. Gingrich isn’t a weather vane, he is a political bane to every elected official. He isn’t going back to Washington to see which way the wind is blowing. He is going back to finish the job he thought he could trust to Republicans. Now it seems he will have to bear the brunt from the Oval office. Think Patriot…think Newt! And remember this…take your argument against Newt and put the other half of the truth in the argument and you will see all you have is a lie. The whole truth was the Reagan revolution and Newt’s continuing battle to see the legacy doesn’t die in the 80′s!
